Year: 3rd year Research Focus: Bilingual language development, heritage language maintenance, Two Way Immersion program Program:Cultural persepectives and comparative education Contact:wonalee@gmail.com
Short Bio: I was born and raised in Korea and moved to the States 16 years ago right after my wedding ceremony.
While trying to get accustomed to my new life in this diverse society, I became a mother of two American born Korean children who are now 14 and 12 years old. As a second language learner and a mother, I have cultivated my research interests in bilingual language development and heritage language maintenance. After getting my master's degree in applied linguistics, I taught Korean and introductory linguistics classes at various places.
What you hope to accomplish in your GSAE role: I hope to encourage GSAE people to actively get to know each other and have a chance to know people from different cultures.
