Bio:
I have a M.A. in Educational Technology and my research focuses on K-12 teachers' use of social media and web 2.0 tools to participate in global support networks. I currently work as the Academic Peer for the Graduate Division, where I host workshops and I write 8-10 blog posts per week about personal and professional development, academics, and campus resources for the UCSB GradPost.

What I Hope to Accomplish as the President of the GSAE:
I decided to run for the position of President of the GSAE because the GSAE plays an important role in helping students navigate their graduate school experience. I will work hard to make sure your voice is heard with the faculty and staff, and I will also guide the GSAE executive committee in being a support network that you can turn to for help - this includes organizing academic and professional development workshops (funding, writing, using research tools), hosting events and using social media to build stronger relationships between students, and connecting you to campus and extramural resources that will help you make the most out of your time in graduate school.
