You can handout your business cards at conferences, events, symposiums, lectures, and any other time you meet someone you would like to stay in touch with. It is important to grow your network throughout your graduate school experience and sharing business cards will help you do just that.

Unfortunately, UCSB Business Services requires you to go through your department to buy official UCSB business cards.

Design & Print Your Own

You can get business card paper from Staples or any other office store and print your own business cards. Typically you will create the business card in MS Word using a template.

Print your design On-campus

Alternative Digital Printing is located on the second floor of the UCen building. They print 500 color cards for $24.95. Don't forget to take your design, in .PDF or .JPG formats.

Use a 3rd Party Website to Design and Print Business Cards

Vistaprint is a great website for creating professional looking business cards. Sign up to be on their mailing list and wait for one of their deals (i.e., 50% off).
